Let me start by telling you our experiences when we got engaged, which eventually led to the birth of Serentipi! Determined to create a truly unique event, we scoured the Country in search of something extraordinary. It was during our search that we stumbled across the stunning Scandinavian Tipis and it was love at first sight. Everything we looked at just felt a little ‘too ordinary’ after that and nothing else would have been good enough for our wedding.
They literally took our breath away and our heads were filled with dreams of planning for our big day. Problem was…the whole thing just felt like far too much ‘faff’ and knowing where to start was mind-blowing! Planning any wedding is pretty overwhelming but an outdoor wedding is certainly no easy task. Well…. that’s where we come in and the reason behind why we began this venture. When you choose to book with Serentipi, it’s not just the tents you’re getting, it’s us, so it’s worth knowing what you’re letting yourself in for!

I’m Jamie (aka the ‘brains’ behind the bizz) and together with my husband Phil (I’d like to say just the brawn but he’s a damn sight more than that!), we are a pretty formidable team who literally pour our heart and soul into bringing these magnificent structures to couples all over the region.
It’s often commented that we make the perfect combo…we both have our faults but the other one always seems to compensate for that. I’m the mad ‘creative’ with ideas spilling out of my weary brain every day and Phil is the most calming, level headed individual you could ever meet. I love the ‘fluff’ (as Phil calls it)…being innovative, understanding your vision, marketing my brand…basically all the important stuff. Phil loves the ‘boring jobs’ (as I call them), where numbers, structural calculations and organising staff rotas really rock his boat. Weird I know but I couldn’t do any of this without him.
We have 2 ‘spirited’ children who we’re steadily training to be ‘Serentipi slaves’ and even though juggling family life whilst running a business has its struggles, we are ridiculously happy and being able to do something we love every day is truly humbling. We’re both utterly dedicated to what we do and together, with all our faults and all our strengths…together, it works.
Getting to know you and your quirks is part of what we do when we’re sharing in your journey and probably the most important aspect of being able to bring your vision to life! We’re proper ‘people people’ and building a trusting relationship along the way is at the heart of everything we do.
Above all, our passion for what we do shines through and being such an integral part of your celebration is something that inspires us every day. One thing we can promise is that we value our couples more than anything; treating your wedding as if it was our own (actually, better than our own) and we honestly go above and beyond to make your day everything and more.

They literally explode your senses with the sound of creaking wood, the smell of burning fires and the warm glow exuding from the canvas walls. One thing’s for sure, they certainly deliver when it comes to creating that ‘wow factor’ entrance!
Spacious and versatile, our tipis cater for your bespoke requirements and can stand alone or be linked to create incredible spaces…the possibilities are endless!
Being authentic and original is important to us – after all…the original is the best! We wouldn’t risk anything less than the BEST for your wedding which is why we use the highest quality tents in the industry.
We source our tents from Tentipi, the world’s only manufacturer of the authentic Nordic tipi. You can see and feel a difference compared with some imitation tents…our poles are often over 100 years old, sourced from sustainable forests in Northern Scandinavia making them incredibly strong and resilient.
Inspired by the Sami Kata, they were created by a man called Bengt Grahn who taught himself to sew and began making Nordic tipis in Lapland. Little did he know that his giant hat inventions would become a favourite among businesses and event companies around the world which has changed his life forever.
They really are quite something and we love the fact that they come with a story. Bengt still remains the same humble man from the beginning – never forgetting his roots and staying true to his foundations of integrity, authenticity and respect…what a guy!!
