The 70’s embraced everything we love about style…bold, eccentric colours, eclectic décor and vintage feels…all bursting with individuality!
We see big things for this trend; being super versatile and offering something for every couple…whether it be free-spirited boho, retro rock & roll or full on disco glam. These are vibes we love to inspire and we had one hell of a team to bring this all to life.
// FLORALS
Dried flowers are, without a doubt, what everyone is raving about right now. Easy to combine with multiple colour combinations, offering loads of interesting textures and they don’t die – what’s not to love? These stunning ‘clouds’ created by Cath @sweetpeaandthyme looked phenomenal above our top table and the simplicity of the table accents added a touch of affordability amidst an explosion of seventies glamour.
// NEON
OK, so it’s been around for a while now but neon is EVERYWHERE and we adore it!! This show-stopping piece, created by Keith Wood Weddings & Events and Sweetpea and Thyme has a plethora of uses; welcome sign, table plan, backdrop.the possibilities are endless and always spectacular.
// CAKE
This towering masterpiece by Patacake Misterton oozes retro loveliness. We like to think of the design as ‘organised chaos’ – haphazard design structured and designed to perfection!
// STATIONERY
If you’re looking for the ultimate in stationery ‘cool’, head over to Peach Wolfe and check out her incredible collection of retro offerings. The colours, the patterns, the design.it really sent us in a seventies spin!!
// PRINTS
Thinking of going DIY but don’t know where to start? Simple – order some bad-ass prints from Printed Weird and grab a bargain frame from Ikea. Hey presto! Funky fresh table décor!
// STYLING
Those who know me will be aware that my creative heart never stops! This showcase was all about how to pull together a look without breaking the bank and one that could fit in with any colour scheme or theme you have in mind. The candle holders and vases were hand-painted using Valspar colour mixes.
